How’s 2024 Looking?

As the end of January approaches, I’d like to ask: is your Market Research & Insights team charging into 2024 with clarity and enthusiasm, or are you still seeking a spark to ignite the new year’s momentum?

A great way to kick-start 2024 is through team collaboration. Reflecting on last year’s highs and lows together, and then building a shared vision for this year can really set the tone. It’s all about learning from 2023 and using those insights to make 2024 even better.Some teams do this by holding a working meeting, which might be called a "Strategy Planning" or "Team Alignment" session (one team I work with had a tough 2023, and called their session "The 2024 Reboot: Reflect, Renew, Recharge").

To facilitate these sessions, I suggest sharing a list of reflection questions with team members (either before or during such sessions). Below is a list of questions that I have found to be effective with various research teams. If you were to select even just five of these questions to share with your team, do you think it would stimulate valuable ideas, or even encourage team cohesion? If so, hosting a working meeting of some kind could be a great way to channel your collective energy into a productive 2024.
