Conducting Research with Children: Key Tenets for Success

Do you struggle to execute research projects with children? Do you have trouble designing techniques that work with all age groups within a study? Do you sometimes wish for a roadmap to help you navigate studies among this influential and ever-changing group?

Children (ages 7-12) represent a significant and influential demographic: from CPG to healthcare to education, many products and services need to be tailored to support children’s needs. In order to tap into the creative minds of today’s youth, extra care must be taken in your study design in order to obtain consent, ensure safety and security, as well as keep children engaged.

Lucky for you, lead instructor Kathryn Korostoff and market research pro & fellow Research Rockstar Marni Martens will be hosting a discussion to understand the do’s and don’ts of this sensitive and critical field of research!

Join us for a conversation about Conducting Research with Children (ages 7-12) on February 8th, 2023, at 1:00pm EST. By the end of the session, you’ll have answers to the following questions:

  • What techniques are effective?
  • What are some best practices to follow or pitfalls to avoid?
  • How do you design an exploratory children’s research study?

Our agenda:

  • Kathryn & Marni will open with an over-arching view of children’s research: what it is, how it is used, and why it is important.
  • Marni will then share her experiences, covering effective techniques to use with children (ages 7-12), some research study design do’s and don’ts, and how these methods and techniques can improve your studies.
  • We’ll invite our attendees to share their experiences. As some of our students are client-side and others are at market research agencies, we are hoping for diverse opinions and experience sharing!
  • Q&A

When & Where:

  • Wednesday, February 8th @ 1:00 PM Eastern.
  • This lecture will be via Zoom. Registered attendees will receive their Zoom link 2-3 days after registration. Students are welcome to participate by webcam or voice only.

This is a great opportunity to learn from a group of experts and peers! And be sure to bring your burning questions for the Q&A.
