Important Market Research Certificate Updates & Options

It has never been easier to earn your new credential

Have you been thinking about obtaining a professional credential for yourself or your Market Research & Insights team members? If so, we think you will find this update about our Insights Association Certificate bundles useful.

Here are the key points:

  • We’ve had a successful professional development and education partnership with the Insights Association for several years now, and we are now updating and streamlining the process of earning certificates.
  • In the past, we offered seven different Insights Association certificate options, but we are now streamlining them to focus on the five Insights Professional Certification (IPC) Specialty Certificates.
    • This means we are retiring two predecessor certificate bundles, Principles of Qualitative Research and Principles of Quantitative Research. The certificates are still recognized by the Insights Association.
  • Students pursuing IPC Specialty Certificates no longer need to separately register and pay on the Insights Association website. For example, if you want to earn your IPC Quantitative Certificate, simply purchase the related eLearning bundle ($825), and pass the required checkpoints and quizzes. Once you meet the certificate requirements, we’ll send you your IPC attainment certificate and a social media badge that you can proudly display on your LinkedIn profile.

What are the 5 IPC Specialty Certificates and How do I Earn them?

The specialty certificates are as follows:

  1. IPC Analytics: Demonstrates expertise in data analysis, analytic techniques, and data synthesis.
  2. IPC Practitioner: Recognizes an advanced understanding of the research process, design, and market research best practices.
  3. IPC Qualitative: Acknowledges proficiency in designing and conducting qualitative research.
  4. IPC Quantitative: Recognizes an advanced understanding of planning and executing quantitative research, including questionnaire design and data collection.
  5. IPC Specialist: A customizable certificate that highlights areas of specialty.

Each bundle costs $825 and includes all required courses for the specific certificate, like the IPC Quantitative Certificate, with five courses: Quantitative Data Analysis, Questionnaire Design 101, Questionnaire Design 201, and Sampling Methods for Market Research. Passing the exams with a grade of 70% or higher earns you the IPC Specialty Certificate, achievable within 23 to 27 hours, including video lectures, assignments, and quizzes. Here’s what you need to know about the IPC Specialty Certificate bundles:

  • The Insights Association now allows us to issue completion certificates directly, saving you time and additional registration fees.
  • If you are an All-Access Backstage Pass customer, you do not need to purchase the IPC bundles. You already have access to all courses required for the five IPC Specialty Certificates. Since you have successfully completed the required courses for a certificate, simply purchase the $75 registration fee to meet the Insights Association requirements and receive your certificate and your social badge for LinkedIn. • Our aim is to make this process convenient and meaningful for you. We value your commitment to advancing the quality and professionalism of market research, and these credentials will showcase your dedication.

What if I am working on one of the Principles Certificates?

For those already working on the retired certificates, you have until March 31, 2024, to complete them. Having reviewed our student reports, all of our students who are working on these certificates will be done before then, but please let us know if you were planning to ask for an extension.
