Randomization

Randomization means two things in market research. One, it may refer to the process of choosing participants at random for a research study. In this case, randomization helps to eliminate potential sampling bias (when compared to a convenience sample). It also means the practice of randomizing answer options in a question. For example, in a “Check all that apply” type question, each participants would see the items listed in different orders.
