Frequency Distribution

A count of the number of times each response is selected. For example, in a survey of 300 homeowners about satisfaction with their homeowner’s insurance, the market researcher may have asked about satisfaction with the claims filing process, using a 7-point scale from “Very dissatisfied” to “Very Satisfied.” The frequency distribution is the number of times each of the seven responses occurs in the data set.
